The Danger of Short Courses

Cheap short courses for TAE Certificate IV in Training and Assessment are everywhere, as well as in other industries.

The Australian have written an interesting piece here about the issue. The regulator, The Australian Skills Quality Authority are moving to eliminate this practise which will be most welcome in the marketplace. It's a tough trend for the regulator to shift but it will be great to see an end to ridiculously short courses in VET. This style of course delivery creates a situation where students are left without the skills and knowledge to be effective in the workplace - yet they hold a qualification that says otherwise. It's a dangerous situation and the flow on effect can be disastrous.
