Training Heroes in Geelong
We'd love to share with you some of the wonderful work two of our graduates are involved with, Hero Town Geelong
Hero Town Geelong believes that every heroic act is the result of a set of past experiences and knowledge that enable the individual to take action to change a situation. Research has shown that individuals can prepare for heroic action through deliberate training and practice. This training supports everyday people to become everyday heroes, by building social awareness, courage and compassion.
They are having their official launch week between 16 – 21 November and you can get tickets here to the the once-in-a-lifetime event, including TEDx style talks, featuring local and international speakers on the topic of everyday heroism with Dr Philip Zimbardo, Chantelle Baxter (founder of OneGirl), David Rendall (author of Freak Factor) and participate in trainer training with Dr. Philip Zimbardo.
