Assessor Skill Set

The assessor skill set puts the "assessment" in Training and Assessment. It forms part of the TAE40116 qualification and allows you to just complete the assessment-related units. These are:

  • TAEASS401 Plan assessment activities and processes
  • TAEASS402 Assess competence
  • TAEASS403 Participate in assessment validation
  • TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools

Many employers require just the assessor skill set, rather than the full Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. The beauty is, you get a nationally recognised statement of attainment on completion. So you can use all four of these towards the whole Certificate IV later on, and you'll be almost halfway there!
