TAE upgrade deadline... April Fools! It's 30th June.
It turns out that the 1st April TAE Upgrade causing widespread stress and anxiety across the VET sector was actually an elaborate April Fools prank.
In all seriousness, the heat is off for now. People training and assessing in Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) have until the 30th of June 2019 to upgrade. You can find more information at Education.gov.au.
Upgrading means either:
- Getting the new TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment qualification, or;
- Ensuring you have, along with your old TAE40110 Cert IV:
- TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools (or the older TAEASS502 A or B coded versions) and
- TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills (or the older TAELLN401A version)
